Perlin Noise Biomes

I started working on generating biomes with Perlin noise to generate temperature and humidity. I want to use wind direction and elevation to alter humidity with the goal of having mountains affect rain fall. I would also like to introduce some kind of river fractal. There is a ton of work to do here and I need to spend some time designing before I keep hammering at it.

Blue is water, light green is grassland, dark green is forest, orange is shrubbery, and light blue is dense forest.
